About Us
BDA Houston is a licensed BDA installation and compliance company serving the greater Houston area. We handle everything from initial signal surveys to annual NFPA 1225 testing.
Who We Are
BDA Houston operates under Vector Fire LLC, a licensed Texas fire alarm contractor. We specialize exclusively in bi-directional amplifier systems and emergency responder radio coverage -- it is all we do, and we do it right. Our technicians hold the FCC's General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL), the federal credential required to program and service commercial radio amplifier systems.
We work with general contractors, property managers, fire protection companies, and building engineers across the Houston metro to bring buildings into compliance with IFC Section 510, NFPA 1225, and local fire code requirements. Whether a project involves a new high-rise in downtown Houston, an existing hospital that failed its signal survey, or a parking structure that needs annual re-testing, BDA Houston provides the technical expertise and licensing required to get the job done correctly.
Every project starts with a site survey. We walk the building, test signal levels with calibrated equipment, and give you a straight answer on what you need. From there, we handle system design, permitting, installation, acceptance testing, and ongoing annual inspections. One company, one point of contact, from start to finish.
Our roots in the fire alarm industry give us an advantage that most RF-only contractors do not have. We understand how BDA systems integrate with fire alarm panels, how AHJ inspectors operate, and what documentation the fire marshal expects. That industry knowledge, combined with our GROL licensing and Houston-specific frequency expertise, is what sets BDA Houston apart.
What Sets Us Apart
Six reasons contractors, property managers, and fire protection companies choose us for BDA scope in Houston.
FCC-credentialed technicians authorized to work on commercial radio amplifier systems. The GROL is the federal license required to legally program and adjust BDA equipment.
We know HFD and HPD frequencies, local inspectors, and how Houston's AHJs operate. No learning curve, no guesswork on local requirements.
Design, install, test, and maintain -- one company, one point of contact. No finger-pointing between subcontractors when something needs attention.
Complete project cost after the site survey. No change orders for visible scope. You know what you are paying before we start.
Part of Vector Fire LLC, with deep roots in fire alarm and life safety systems. We understand fire code, AHJ expectations, and how BDA integrates with the larger fire protection picture.
Local team, local inventory, local response. No waiting on a national dispatch queue. When the fire marshal needs a re-test, we are here.
Who We Work With
We work with the people responsible for getting buildings built, maintained, and kept in compliance.
BDA scope on new construction and tenant improvement projects. We sub cleanly into your project team, handle permitting and frequency coordination, and deliver a compliant system on your timeline.
Compliance for existing buildings, annual testing, and remediation. If your building has been flagged or you need to stay ahead of enforcement, we handle it from survey to sign-off.
BDA subcontracting for fire contractors who do not have in-house RF capability. We work under your scope, coordinate with your team, and deliver the BDA piece so you can keep your client relationship intact.
Technical coordination for system integration with existing fire alarm and building systems. We provide engineered designs, signal propagation data, and the documentation your engineering team needs.
